About Me
My name is Bonnie Kelly (she/her/hers). I knew at a young age that holding space for others was where my passion was. Graduating with my Child and Youth Counselling diploma in 2000 was the first step in my educational journey and as things go, life unfolded in a way I would have never predicted. After an educational hiatus, I received my Bachelor of Social Work in 2016 and completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in August 2022. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist (#P7641), a registered social worker (#13232) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (#11241717).
I have worked with children and youth in the school system since 2002. I have extensive experience with youth, families, supporting LGBTQ2+ individuals, educational systems and structures, and neurodiversity. I approach each and every individual from a holistic perspective, working to understand their lived experiences and unique stories. I believe gaining an awareness of the sociocultural context of individual worldviews, including cultural identity and the systemic structures impacting wellbeing, is crucial in understanding the diverse needs of each individual.
I have called Airdrie home for my entire life. I can often be found spending time with my four sons, in a spin studio, in the bleachers at one of my son's football games, or hiking up a mountain to a beautiful summit.
