Hi, I’m Bonnie Kelly (she/her/hers). I’ve always known that holding space for others gently, safely, and with a touch of humour, is where I’m meant to be. My first official step on that path came in 2000 when I earned my diploma in Child and Youth Counselling. However, life, like a vast and unpredictable sea, unfolded in ways I never could have scripted. After pausing to raise my family and gather life wisdom (the best kind), I went on to complete my Bachelor of Social Work in 2016 and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in 2022.
I’m a Registered Provisional Psychologist, a Registered Social Worker, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. Since 2002, I’ve worked with children, teens, and families navigating the waves of mental health, neurodiversity, identity, and relationships. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach, honouring the story each person brings because everyone’s journey is unique, and no one navigates life’s waters the same way.
Born and raised in Airdrie, I’m proud to live and work in the community I’ve always called home. My fiancé, four sons, and dog are central to my world, and I also make space for solitude, mountain trails, and ocean escapes; slowly working my way back to spin classes and hikes after a notorious pickleball incident. Life, like therapy, is about balancing connection, adventure, and a little self-care, all with curiosity, laughter, and a steady hand on the helm.
